Brent Model B Pottery Wheel

Our Price $742.50

Includes splash pan and 12" Plasti-Bat and 5 year factory warranty

Features Model B Potter's Wheel 22604E.... $975.00 Specifications
Designed to fill the needs of school and studio potters, the Model B is competitively priced and is quiet and solid under a load of well over 50 pounds of clay. The B has a 12" cast aluminum head, the table and drive system of the C, combined with a large 1/2 hp motor (up from 1/3 from 2005) for the power and weight necessary for school use.  And of course don't forget the best splash pan in the industry - deep, leak free, spatter proof, and easy to remove and clean!

The Model B is perhaps our best bargain in the Brent line.  For 2006, the model B now has a 1/2HP motor, making it identical to the model C from 2005 (except for a slightly smaller wheel head).

State-of-the-art control box -- Features a "forward/reverse" switch for changing wheel direction with the touch of a finger. In addition, both the motor and foot pedal have snap connectors for easy removal for repair or replacement.

All-steel construction -- for strength, durability and rigidity

Electronic speed controls -- assures maximum torque and smooth response

Automatic belt tensioning -- keeps the 4-groove poly-v drive belt tight for maximum performance

Permanent magnet DC motor -- provides dependable, variable speed control

Powerful, cast aluminum foot pedal -- offers smooth control and speed range of 0-240 rpm

Includes 12" premium quality Plasti-Bat

Five year warranty through our nationwide authorized service network

Comparable Wheel Comparison/Reviews to Brent B
Brent Model B - (4 out of 5 stars) - Traditional 3 legged design with solid steel construction and ample plastic covered drip surfaces.  Industry leading splash pan simply will not leak.  Modular control allows for reversal at the flip of a switch.  V-belt drive with automatic tensioner keeps eliminates belt play.  12 " cast aluminum wheel head on double row ball bearings.  Large, heavy duty DC motor and control.  A solid, quiet, and reliable wheel with a long heritage of quality and performance.

Artista by Creative Industries - (1 out of 5 stars) - Table top form factor which can be convenient.  The Artista lacks the convenience of a foot pedal for hands free wheel speed control.  It tends to bog down easily when asked to center the clay that its specifications claim.  We found that table top throwing is somewhat hard on the back as it puts the potter in a somewhat unnatural throwing position.  When pushed, the B handles the load better due to the larger 1/2hp motor.  The Artista is portable and is easier to handle as a single unit.  We preferred the large work surface of the Brent B; it has many places to place your tools, buckets, sponges, etc.
