Payment Information

HandsNClay products can be purchased via check or money order that is paid in advance.  Once this payment clears, we process your order.  Most of our customers choose to pay this way as it offers them the best pricing.

You can also send payment through Paypal (www.Paypal.com).  If you have ever shopped on Ebay, you are probably very familiar with this very safe method of payment.  Our Paypal email address is info@handsnclay.com.  This is the email address that you specify when sending payment through Paypal.  We typically add about 3% to the prices we quote you for Paypal transactions.  With your free Paypal account, you can also use any of the following credit cards to make your secure purchase.

    

Shipping & Handling Information

The equipment you purchase from HandsNClay's is carefully packaged and shipped from our location, the equipment manufacturer, or from distribution.  We reserve the right to select the most appropriate means to get your product to you.  We typically ship via freight as most of our products are very heavy and large.  However, for lighter products, UPS can be used.  All of our products ship fully insured.

Most wheels and kilns will arrive within 1 to 3 weeks, with the average being around 2.5 weeks from order placement (after payment is received and cleared).

NOTE:  IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU OPEN YOUR SHIPMENT IMMEDIATELY (within 5 days) UPON RECEIPT TO INSPECT FOR DAMAGE, EVEN IF IT IS A GIFT FOR ANOTHER PERSON.  WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE THAT IS DISCOVERED MORE THAN 5 DAYS AFTER THE PACKAGE WAS RECEIVED.  SO, CHECK YOUR PACKAGE AND ITS CONTENTS IMMEDIATELY!

Sales Tax

Indiana Residents will have 6% sales tax added to their entire order (product price plus shipping and handling).

Custom Quotes

Custom or special quotes are typically valid for two days from issuance of the quotation.  We denote this on the bottom of the quotation that we email to you.

Warranty

The equipment that HandsNClay sells is warranted by the manufacturer according to their stated terms and conditions.  Abuse or misuse of the equipment will void your warranty.  This determination of abuse is at the sole discretion of HandsNClay and its manufacturers.

Returns

Pottery Wheels and Kilns are typically shipped from the manufacturer or distributor.  They ARE NOT returnable.  Manufacturing defects are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, where applicable.  If you have any technical problems, most situations can be resolved via a phone conversation with a factory technician.  It is not our policy to offer upgrades to purchases in the event of a product problem.  We are only obligated to work with you to rectify the problem you are experiencing with the exact make and model that you ordered.  We are not obligated to replace product that you find is not exactly what you may have wanted.  So, do your homework thoroughly before purchasing.  We are always available to help you make the most appropriate selection.

Damaged Merchandise

HandsNClay asks that you carefully inspect your shipment before you open the carton.  If the shipping container or box shows evidence of significant damage, it could be possible that the contents were damaged as well.  You have the right to refuse acceptance of the product, and the shipping company will be required to take it back with them.  The delivery service will require your signature indicating your refusal to accept the product due to probable product damage.

If your shipment is damaged upon receipt, please let us know immediately so that we can get the claim process started.

It is important to note that once you sign for your shipment, you are responsible for any damages that become  apparent afterwards, like during the unpacking of the products.  If you find concealed or hidden damage after you sign for the product and during the unpacking, you must file a concealed damaged claim with the shipping company.  So it is very important that you thoroughly inspect your shipment before you sign for it.

Handsnclay assumes no responsibility for damage to wheels or kilns as a result of incorrect or inadequate power (voltage) supplied by the customer.  It is the customer's responsibility to assess their available power situation, and to order the products from Handsnclay that meet the specified power requirements.  For mid to large size kilns, a qualified electrician should be retained by the client to provide power and connection to the product.
